So What did we get? This week at VMworld 2014, VMware announced new software,  a little re-branding . So what were these announcements: ! 1. vCloud Suite 5.8 The VMware vCloud Suite was updated to a new version of 5.8 (from 5.5). The 2 major updates in the new vCloud Suite 5.8 : Site Recovery Manager (SRM) 5.8   VMware vCloud Automation Center (vCAC) 2. VMware’s Hyperconvergence Play Another big announcement at VMworld was VMware’s new hyper-convergence offering called EVO:RAIL It is a 2U hardware that will be sold by partner, like dell, EMC.... EVO combines the vSphere with VMware VSAN, Next year, VMware plans to release a larger EVO edition called EVO:RACK 3. New Horizon Desktop as a Service (DaaS) Innovations The third announcement included innovations to VMware’s Horizon DaaS. first download ISO from microsoft website Burn the DVD then boot on DVD, first screen, choose your language and keyboard: Clic on "Install Now" Accept the licence : choose  "Custom : Install Windows only (advanced)" select an empty drive and format, then click next. installation begin, wait : computer restart: "Use express settings" : "create new account"  or use your hotmail account (not recommanded ) . click on "I can't do this right now" choose  "Set this up as a new PC instead" then Next  : click next: installation is done welcome to Windows 10 !

VSAN Installation Workflow:   First Check the HCL to be sure your hardware is compatible with VSAN solution.   Second be sure that your configuration is similar to this:   Don’t forget VSAN need at least 3 esxi server 5.5 and vcenter . it is recommended to have 10 Gb NIC also. The steps are these: Initial Setup: Configure each ESX/vSphere host(s) for VSAN with VMkernel port If not created create a cluster for your esxi farm and move your server inside the cluste Add/Update the HA/DRS Cluster to support VSAN Choose either automatic (default), automatic lets VSAN claim all the RAW/Blank storage it can see (not including the boot disk if you have booted from HDD) Next, create Storage Policies that match those different requirements. You can use   the default Storage Policies that ship with the default settings if needed.

my favorite actual contest will finish in one week. Yes, one more week to go before the gran contest of cloudcredibility will finish i m in good position first at general and first at nsx world. Microsoft has annonced Windows 10 for desktop and server also. So what do you think about this new OS, most of us will be happy with the introduction of a new start menu but i think this is more than that. What i execpt from Microsoft is an cloud enable OS and that what Microsoft is trying to deliver with this version a new step to the cloud. We can see that one note app and one drive is already there for client part, now i will expect to get my own onedrive server inside the server edition and even a onenote server to share and collaborate around onenote. What i have seen in server side is a great improvement for SDN solutions and support, Storage replication and a new better RDP that support open GL and open CL. Microsoft will offer also a new identity management feature. This last point is very important when you try to interconnect your private cloud to the external.
