Protecting Data In The Cloud: Top Security Measures

Image
Security and cloud. Not so long ago it was the main resistance concern about not going to the cloud but now most of them have moved even if some part of the cloud are not so secure, exemples are easy to find (playstation network, ubisoft...). So when we are a company what should we look before putting data inside our cloud provider. First you should increase our security and our process, because with the arrival of virtualization security have been lowered du comply some performance issue or some other part of security have not been updated after virtualization and they still liked to a physical world. So double down on data security or seek assistance from cloud providers for data protection must be one of your priority. You should also check the Responsibility because it depends on the type of cloud service that your provider deliver to you. With the introduction of cloud you should deploy new security capabilities to control the flow and access to data and als...

Why cloud challange storage

Hello I'm on fire today, a new message on a new subject, cloud and storage and why it is a challenging problem. Before the arrival of virtualization, the storage guy was someone with a cool job, no many challenge, slow changes inside the datacenter so I can see all changes and plan easily for his need. But VMware and their friend arrive, with virtualization concept, and badaboom. They need storage, a lot of storage, and they are resource consuming obliviously. They also need a robust storage solution. Last point backup in virtual are not working like physical so the storage need to adapt. And most of then have taken the evolution or revolution on their shoulder to bring success to virtualization. Thanks Guys because a good virtualization solution cannot work with a bad SAN solution. Now storage guy think, 'ok, virtualization is done, VDI also, I can get some rest.' Sorry Guy, I have a new nightmare for you, one who is going to challenge you more than virtualization. ...

Don’t Get Stuck on Your Virtualization when going to the cloud

Going virtual is easy at the beginning but get more and more complicated when moving further. So having a good strategy and knowing the goal of the journey always help. A typical virtualization journey consists of three and half distincts phases:   • Phase I: IT Production. Virtualization is used primarily for server consolidation of IT-owned applications.   • Phase II : Business Production. Businesses begin using virtualization for business-critical applications such as Microsoft Exchange Server, Oracle, or SAP, and deploy more advanced virtualization automation and management features.    • Phase III: IT as a Service (ITaaS). All applications are eligible to run in virtual machines (VMs), Advanced techniques are used to manage and monitor virtual servers, and IT organization and processes are updated to run efficiently within virtual infrastructure.   Each phase got is benefits and it is also a pre-requisit to the next one. With ph...
